Women and Money Project
Three years ago, the Women and Money Project exhibited art by self-identified women artists that addressed, investigated and explored contemporary social, political and economic issues related to women’s relationship with money. The exhibition and its related programs opened up new dialogue regarding the myriad of ways women artists and their peers view their relationship with money in todays’s changing culture and society. The ultimate message was clear that women’s invisibility and lack of voice in financial strength and systems of money were clear. Today those issues have grown larger and stronger as we have seen with a backlash from the MeToo movement.
